Fuck, man. For me it’s just been a constant release and therapy. It’s given me a reason to wake up, really. It’s also been hard at times.
Well I’ve learned a lot from being in a band. First off, if you’re going to try to start one then you need to be ready to invest a good amount of time and effort. BDNW? was originally a band called “Open Night Sky.” It was pretty much the same idea where I would be in charge of writing new songs and teaching them to the other guys. That project was more or less a failure. I wasn’t ready to be a leader of anything. J-boy and Soap were nowhere near ready to play. And the other two guys that we had involved weren’t taking it seriously. At the end of the day I got too stressed trying to hold it all together. I dropped out of the project and that was pretty much it. That was March 2011.
In November the initial guys, meaning myself, j-boy, and soap, decided to give it another try. They were learning how to play and had the drive to put in the work. So we started over.
